Dr. Welch received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of South Florida in Interdisciplinary Science in Tampa. Later, she attended Barry University School of Podiatric in Miami where she received her doctorate in 1997. Following graduation from Barry University, Dr. Welch was invited to serve a Podiatric Surgical Residency at St. Luke Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. receiving a board certified qualification in Podiatric Surgery in 1998. Dr. Welch received a license to practice Podiatric Medicine in Florida in 1998 and has been practicing for the past 7 years.

She has physician privileges at Manatee Memorial Hospital, Manatee Surgical Center, and Gulf Coast Surgical Center. She also is a member of the American and Florida Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Welch has her own private practice at Bay Area Foot and Ankle in Bradenton, Florida.
